there were so many awesome photos that i had of hannah from my studio class, asfter copying clarfe. here is a edit i did in photoshop.

i added a channel mixer layer, not knowing what i was doing. turns out it took away the red in the photo and made the backdrop off white/grey. then i added a vibrance layer, that made the red cloth bright. i'm pretty happy with myself. :]

fog.

i say about 3 months ago, there was a really foggy night and i had just gotten off work and i was so angry that i didnt have my camera with me. but then the lady i worked with said why dont you just take it with your phone? so i did. im in love with it. when i show people these photos they think the light is the moon or sun, but its actually a street lamp.

it keeps happening...

i see images that other people have taken that are just like mine. it annoys me but i'll have to come to an understanding one day.

so since ive got photoshop now i can work on images.

the other first week of holidays i went to the city and took some photos with my friend, but i didnt scan them. i scanned a few images that i liked from the roll though. and i worked on them in photoshop because i havent been able to get inside the darkroom.

with this image there was a lot of scratches and heaps of developing marks on it. i used the cloning tool for that i got really anal about trying to get rid of all of them. and then behind the curtain the sun was coming in and shining and i wanted detail in them.

i dont normally like to have photoshoped or changed images. i normally like natural photos. but i thought id give it a try and im really happy with the final image. if i were to change anything it would be the burning job i did.

may not look like it but i worked hard on these. im not much of a photoshop type person. i just got it on my home comp today. sad times.

please help me choose. my life is depended on it

i've got nothing anymore...

my mind is blank at the moment. the last time i took a photo was about 30mins ago, and the time before that was when i went to the city the first day of school holidays. i wish i were back at school, i know thats odd coming from me, the person who dreaded getting out of bed to face the people. but i need these people so im not moping about. i miss everyone.

i know the sort of photography i want to start going towards. photojournalism or social documentary photography. yesss ive done my reading up on it. rmit offers a great course.
